This Oregon CPR course combines the AHA’s HeartCode® ACLS (online) portion link and the in-person hands-on skills assessment. If you intend to complete your entire training in person, please explore the other ACLS course options provided by Oregon CPR.
Failure to demonstrate the pre-requisite knowledge and skills required to successfully complete the skills assessment may result in extra training time beyond the scheduled course duration, which will be billed separately at $100/hr.
Important: You must print the certificate of completion at the end of the online portion. You will need to give this to your instructor when you attend the in-person skills assessment portion. It is necessary to show that you completed the online portion. If you do not have your certificate of completion, you will not be able to complete the skills practice and testing portion of the course.
HeartCode ACLS is the AHA’s blended learning delivery method for the AHA’s ACLS Course. HeartCode blended learning delivers quality resuscitation education regardless of where providers are located and gives them more control to complete the course at their own pace.
HeartCode uses a personalized adaptive algorithm that sets students on the most efficient path to mastery. Students follow a continuously adapting learning path that is personalized by their own inputs: their performance, and their self- reported confidence level related to each probing question. The course content is presented in the form of self-directed learning content, probing questions, and Cognitive Assessment Activities (CAAs).
Providers first complete the online portion of HeartCode ACLS and then complete a hands-on skills session with an AHA ACLS Instructor or a HeartCode compatible manikin. The ACLS Provider Manual eBook is included with HeartCode ACLS and you will be able to access the manual from within the course.
