Eugene/Springfield’s AHA HeartCode Training Center

Oregon CPR Training is proud to offer skills tests for healthcare providers who need to complete their Heartcode training for BLS, ACLS, or PALS certification.

What is HeartCode?

HeartCode is the American Heart Association’s online training option. To help busy healthcare professionals get certified in critical skills like BLS, ACLS, and PALS, HeartCode online training can be completed as your schedule allows.

HeartCode uses a personalized adaptive algorithm that sets students on the most efficient path to mastery. Students follow a continuously adapting learning path that is personalized by their own inputs: their performance, and their self- reported confidence level related to each probing question. The course content is presented in the form of self-directed learning content, probing questions, and Cognitive Assessment Activities (CAAs).

All HeartCode trainings must be completed with an in-person skills assessment. Oregon CPR Training is proud to be a certified AHA HeartCode certification center. While we love teaching skills like CPR, BLS, ACLS, PALS and more in-person, these skills tests help us fulfill our mission to deliver life-saving training to as many people as possible.

What to Expect from a HeartCode Skills Assessment

Oregon CPR’s HeartCode skills assessment is for individuals who need an in-person skills assessment to complete their online AHA HeartCode training. If you intend to complete your entire training in person, please explore the other ACLS course options provided by Oregon CPR.

Failure to demonstrate the prerequisite knowledge and skills required to successfully complete the skills assessment may result in extra training time beyond the scheduled course duration, which will be billed separately at $100/hr.

HeartCode Completion Required

At the end of the online HeartCode training, you’ll receive a certificate. You must print this certificate and give it to your instructor when you attend the in-person skills assessment. If you do not have your certificate of completion, you will not be able to complete the skills practice and testing portion of the course.
