The American Heart Association’s Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification trains individuals on how to respond to respiratory, shock, pre-arrest emergencies and full cardiac arrest in children and infants. This certification is for healthcare professionals including pediatricians, emergency physicians, family physicians, physician assistants, nurses, nurse practitioners, paramedics, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare providers who initiate and direct advanced life support in pediatric emergencies.
Certification requires attendance at two sessions. Register using any of the links to Day 1 classes knowing that you will need to attend both day 1 and day 2 of any class.
While BLS training is not required for PALS and will not be taught in PALS, BLS skills will be assessed and we encourage anyone unsure of their BLS skills to consider also attending a BLS class.
